Rust Proof

I am thinking of rust proofing my ML but my friend told me that a 2013 ML350 underbody is covered and the units for the Canadian market do come with a treatment already.
So am I wasting my money to go to a rust proofing company?
What is your opinion if you are in my shoes?

Thanks.

Are you planning to keep the car for more than 5 years?
Where do you live (didn't want to assume as Canada)...

Rusting proofing? What are we, still living in the 90s? If you want to waste money on your car, at least waste it on something fun.

Not needed. All MBs have underbody coating already applied from the factory. I even asked about this when I bougth my MBs and the finance manager who usually sell these things laughed and told me not needed as MB already has it. Just make sure to wash the underbody once a week with a house during winter just to make sure you clean up the salt. Todays cars have come a long way with regards to rust so even a hyundai might not see rusting even after years off being subjected to regular road salt.

I'm gonna assume we'd be better off using the hose coming from the house's hose connector.

...but good advise none the less. Save your money on the "rustproofing" because you'd have to older then I to remember rust thru perforations on cars.
