Thanks for posting, I didn't even know this was an option! I wish it was a little more integrated and smoother in how it was put together, like my girlfriend's Lexus.

On the Comand's phone screen Text Msg at the bottom is grayed out untill/unless you get a text, Then the Comand emits a way too short Beep and displays an envelope at the top of the screen, and "Text Msg" lites up in White on the Comand's phone screen. If it doesn't, you have to perform the above.

Texts are not allowed to be viewed while the car is in motion. You can respond to the text by using voice w/ Siri. You can also delete the text on the Comand.

Hi.

I am new to the c300. How do you turn on text messages in your vehicle settings?

I too used to have a Lexus and my text messages with just display on the screen and I can't figure out how to get that function on my new Mercedes. I enabled it on my phone but they don't pop up on the screen like they did on my Lexus any help would be greatly appreciated

Even on the ML they don't "pop up" you have to go to "Text Message" and click on it when the envelope symbol is lit on the home screen.

Beyond that, I am not familiar with the C class COMAND. They all look similar but have different paths.
