LED Illuminated star! where to connect to ??
hi !! I'm planning to purchase the LED illuminated star emblem off from Ebay and connect it by myself!! anyone can guide me where I can connect to ?

I bought one and they sent me with out connector plug now i cannot use and after months i went to electronic guy he tried to run the led with his power cable star wasnt working better not to buy trust me i lost $110 for this... anyway it is your opinion so cheap small one piece led light on acrylic plate

I bought mine from eBay and ran the wires to the fuse box under the hood. I grounded the ground to the grounding cable next to the fuse box and ran the power into slot 17. This allows the Star to turn on when ever locking/unlocking the car and when the ignition is on

fuse #17 is located at the fuse box that by the glove box , how and where can you run the wire through the fire wall into that fuse box ??

Jokes aside... if you have Distronic, you can't replace the grille MB star with the illuminated one because that's where the radar is located. In other words, if you have the "solid" MB star (looks like a flat piece of shiny black plastic with the Mercedes logo), then you can't swap it without disabling the Distronic feature. If you have the "3D" star there the star sticks out 1" above the background, then yes, it is an easy swap. I would personally connect it to one of the headlight feeds... the additional draw should be negligible and the "illumination" is only visible at night anyway.
