The GL63 AMG forum has some guys hanging around .... You can dip into the ML 166 pool..the ML is basically the same car with the performance option.... Those guys tune a little more than the GL guys..
What kind of things are you thinking about?
Tuning (weistec) might be a good place to start but any comments with the M157 bi turbo engined cars will be useful.
Tires: I'm liking Pirelli scorpion winter 21s on OEM wheels and custom 22s with summer scorpions
Air filters.... Im about to install my BMC filters
Brakes: waiting to install my new porterfield rs4 pads... But it seams that my 2015 63 brakes dust less than my 2014 car did.
Hope this helps and welcome to the club!

I see your in NY Cyclrder. Had you thought about Hennessey Performance's options? $8K for 700HP (3yr warranty) http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/amgglv8bi.html
Have you bought anything from Weistec yet? To be honest, I haven't even utilized the +550 HP Twin Turbo on my GL as of yet bc London has great 97 Octane Fuel.
Has anyone done "Real tests" of the BMC air filters for HP gain?

I hadn't looked at Hennessy..... I could stomach $2.5K but probably not $8k for that much horsepower..... Realistically, it is really hard to utilize what is under the hood now.... I put a lot of miles on my car and being out on the road that much... I can only think of 2 times that I had a chance to smoke anyone... The rest of the time, the current power is enough.
I will install the filters and new pads soon.... I am thinking that I might splurge for the axle back exhaust from supersprin as a bit of tuning kit.
We shall see.

The BMC website only shows the air filter for the GL 400 equipped with 333 HP. It doesn't look like they make an air filter for the GL 63 with much more HP than 333.
All in all, no one really shows any testing results from the '14 GL 63 engine.
