Hi, My name's Pete and I have just sold my SL500 which I bought new 10 years ago. Two months ago I ordered a new SL500 and have just been told that the colour of my choice, Selenite Grey, which was introduced six weeks ago to replace Palladium Silver, will not be available until year end!! Anyone know why this colour is delayed. MB have given me several different explanations (run out of paint, loads of people want this colour and there's a back log of cars waiting to be sprayed). All sound rather odd to me. Anyone know the real reason or what's going on at MB? Just wish I hadn't sold my existing SL as the original date of delivery given to me when I first ordered was August!!

I know that feeling when you're really excited for something and then you get an unexpected turn-out. Well, they probably haven't started painting yet. 
They usually announce stuff but they aren't readily available until a certain time. Good luck tho
