2010 Mercedes E350 Coupe
2010 e350 coupe
Hello All
I just bought my first Mercedes after having 5 Infiniti's in the past 10 years and I have to say I love it. I was a little disappointed that it didn't have streaming bluetooth, but I actually found a post on here that showed me how to set it through the comand section, which is awesome because it pairs perfectly with my Galaxy S5. I do have a question though, my car says it has a P1 package, but when talking to one of my friends, who has a s550, he said that the fog lights were an add on, I was wondering whether the fog lights or LED running lights were an upgrade.
Thanks.

Welcome to MBWorld. She looks amazing and brand new! Looks like previous owner took good care of her. I believe it's the LED running lights that are the upgraded package. Personally, I prefer the double circle fogs over the hockey sticks. You can always swap out the bulbs for whiter halogens or upgrade to HIDs which would blow away the LEDs in terms of looks IMO.

The bezel? The lens? You can always purchase replacement component from dealer or hit up one of our parts replacement vendors here on the forums.

TAIL LIGHT BULBS
Hello,
How do I swap out old bulbs in the tail light with new ones? I prefer retro bulbs. Dealer is asking too much, these bulbs lasted a long time, but I want to avoid the dealer. Another thing the Low beam Xenon failed on the head lamp, I ordered German made Osram replacements, is it alright to install them without disconnecting the battery?

Go to lastvin.com and input VIN. This will give you the build sheet including all options. Post here if you have any questions.

Looking up the VIN helped me find stuff about my cars. These two links give basically the same data but I do both anyway and save it all to Excel.xls for future viewing
carinfo.kiev
lastvin.com
Then when you have the codes you can look them up, but details on the codes is scarce imo. Maybe someone who has a link(s) to somewhere that explains all the codes in detail can chime in and hook us up.
And the following link is really cool (imo)! It tells you all kinds of stats about the car. Not yours in particular, but that specific model/engine/year. Just scroll down and find your specific car by year, cab or couple, 2 or 4wd and US or Euro. The Euro are of course better because the US is all "safety first" and boggs the car down with like 300lbs of crap. Super annoying imo, and how do you even come up with that much stuff to put in it, and where do you put it? Wherever it is, if I can remove it it'll be on my to-do list:
automobile-catalog.com/model/mercedes-benz/207_e_class_sports.html
I save all that data to .xls as well, plus I'll add misc info other as I find it but this had a TON of info including dyno charts and acceleration thru all gears from a stop to top speed chart. Has the trans and rear end gearing complete with theoretical top speed, which is like 250mph for mine. Just be aware that the stuff like 0-60 and 1/4 mile etc are not actual, but "calculated". Which I suppose is no biggie because most all cars I've had were a good chunk quicker than advertised so maybe calculated might be better?
I save this data because if you don't, one day you'll need it and you'll get "404 Page Not Found" :o And of course an xls is a great place to put all your maint records, parts you buy and whatever notes all in one place
