I recently purchased a 2002 MB ML320 from a friend. Now have driven the Suv for about 1000 miles trying to determine what may be the problem with the vehicle. It has driven fine up until a couple of days ago when I noticed that immediately after hitting a pot hole that the engine shut off. The dash went dark, but the radio continued to play and the lights remained but I did not loose control of the vehicle. Has anyone else experience this situation? I have a used MB mechanic that I use. I will see if he can discover the source of the engine cutting of while driving. Thanks.

On the surface it sounds like something isn't connected tight. Check the battery terminals?

i had same problem had to replace crankshaft position sensor

connect OBD2 scanner and check for code...

sound like the crankshaft position sensor.
autohausaz is probably your cheapest oem option.

Here i go again beating this dead horse,, but i needzzz some help...
how does one check properly for the year model. most of the time i see guys advertise 2003 model, then i put the vin into a vin decoder and i get like a date 22-07-2002, now how is this a 2003 model and not 2002? can some please clear this up for me?

Please UPDATE YOUR PROFILE in USER CP to include the year, model and where you live. Then in a separate post tell us what is your full vin#.
