MERCEDES BENZ S500

2003 Mercedes s500 that failed a voltage test for alternator. The battery is nearly new and it passed. Test was done at a auto parts store. Should I take the car to the dealer. Car drives fine, but the last three days it has been over 90 degrees and the car was kept in driveway. Car would not start and once I jumped it, the car was fine. Took it to a auto parts store and they told me the alternator failed the voltage test.

Welcome Please post picture of your ride Bring it to a different parts store and if they say the same thing replace it.
