2003 Mercedes Benz c230 kompressor
2003 c230 kompressor p0130.
I have had my car for about 2 months now, a week after I bought it the CEL came on and i got the error code P0130. I took it in, he just corrected the code and said it shouldnt happen again. I've done research on this and know it's the sensor code, but I'm wondering:
The "S/W" modes by the shifter, can you change them while driving or when you're not in park? The passenger in my car pressed it out of curiosity - moments later the CEL (check engine light) came on again.
In my research "S" is sport, and while in this mode your engine starts in first gear/has higher rpms, and "W" is Winter which starts you in second gear.
Could pressing this back and forth while driving cause that sensor to fail?

There's no issue with switching S/W mode while driving. Otherwise, there'd be a safety lock. Either was a coincidence (most lilkely) or something in W mode.
