Hello all,
I have been reading around this forum for about a year, finally desided to register. I reluctantly let my My wife buy a GLK-350 a year ago, It has given me a new outlook on Mercedes. I have been an American car guy my whole life, mostly Fords and always worried about the reliability and cost of maintence issues which were all "stereotypes" more than acutal experiences. My father swears by MB, he owned a few years ago and loved them. I've had three Fords in the last year 09 F-150, 13 F-150, 15 Mustang GT. The Mercedes has rescued me twice now when my Ford's left me stranded on the side of the road, both Ford's were newer and had lower miles than the Benz. Currently my Mustang has 10,300 miles and it's at the dealer getting a new transmission. I plan to add a C-250 or C-300 very soon to replace the Mustang.

Welcome Nice looking ride. When I was a kid I spent all my summers in Trussville Alabama. That would have been 1956 to about 1962. Went back there last year the house is still standing and it looks like they have indoor plumbing which my grandparents never had. Area had changed a lot.

When I was there was nothing but a Baptist church and a Big egg Farm There is now a fire Station where the egg farm was but the Baptist church was still there and the pastor was the son of the pastor when I was there. The son was too young to play with so I played with his older sisters. Small world. The down town area only had a flashing light in the middle of the town and about the only store was the hardware store. Big change there. oh well, I hope you enjoy your life there. It is a great area now.
