C320 problems -New member
Hello,
I have a 2003 W203 C320 with 90000 kilo-meters on the clock. It has 2 issues that are really annoying.
No heat to the drivers footwell (rhd) and the heater takes a really long time to heat up.
Vibration through seats at about 100kph I have fitted new tyres and balanced wheels -no change I have also replaced the tail shaft centre bearing - no change
My c320 is an Avantgarde with sports pack including staged wheels etc. the car is in excellent condition aside from these 2 faults.
Any help would be much appreciated -thanks.
Stu.

Out Of Control!!
Regarding the drivers side foot well heat issue----is that the only area that does not get heat when heat is selected----if so you have a faulty flap

There is no hvac reset test---what spammer posted that HS!!---Do the flap test. It is that test that will provide the information on what flap should be open or closed depending upon the setting you have designated in the AC module!!

Yes, likely faulty flap.
If you hold the defrost and recirc buttons it puts into the flap reset.
There's a procedure around here somewhere.
My floor vent is stuck open, cooks my feet in winter and freezes them in summer.
Pulling the dash apart to get to the motors and flaps is a serious beeeetch but can be done. But I've just suffered with mine for several years.
But once you're in there likely you'll want to replace all of them which is a bit expensive. Saw my local guy doing this one day, I think they billed 8 hours to take apart and 8 hour to reassemble. But I think it can be done in 4 hours in each direction.
There is a step by step somewhere. I've seen it. You have to tear the whole dash apart to get to the air box.
It's ether here or on benzworld in the W203 forum and has great pics too.

I'm sorry I meant 'flap test' not 'hvac test'.
I will try this again today but last time I did it it didn't fix the problem.
Any ideas on the driveline vibration? I am leaning toward the flex discs but my mechanic told me that they were OK when he replaced the centre bearing (the old bearing looked OK as well). I read somewhere that the damage may it be obvious on inspection - thoughts?
Thanks for the help so far.
