W222 s550 Renntech

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if any of you know how the W222 s550 mods preform on renntech. I saw the performance chip but it said it had no data available. Also would a renntech mod void the warranty on the car?

It does not void the warranty. I called them but they were not able to give me info on the HP it would go to.

We have it done but couldn't get the dyno completed….There is a very noticeable difference, highly recommended.

I know the stock 0-60 is around 4.8 seconds, would you say it shaves off like .3 or .4 seconds?

2015 MERCEDES BENZ S550
Great year treated myself to a 2015 Mercedes S550 without the 321 AMG sport package, looking to put a tune on it what's the best bang for my $$$.
Renntech, ECU Tuning Group, Weistec, these are the 3 I see which shows the best gains.

New to Mercedes I am left the world of BMW and entering a new league, so any suggestions are highly welcomed.

Looked at a few kits and thinking about just going with the factory 321 AMG Sport package kit because I don't want to make it look like a s63 just something where it doesn't look base. The factory kit anyone had one installed afterwards from a dealer

Love to know as well. I was thinking of adding that to the SL550 until another member did it and posted slower 0-60 times than before, mostly due to traction.

The SL's are much faster than the S though. Almost couldn't believe it's the same engine.

I looked into getting a tune with my '12CLS63, my local MB dealer said no problem, that they had several customers with Renntech tunes, however they told me if I had an engine problem, it would be up to MB and not the dealer, to decide if it would be covered under warranty, that did not sit well with me so I passed

I have an issue with a RENNtech CF rear deck spoiler. I would "run, Forest, run!!!"

https://mbworld.org/forums/general-m...-emotions.html

I pray I never have any issues of a significant nature with the ECU tuning.

All ecu tunes will void your powertrian warranty, even through renntech. Only way to get a tune with warranty is through eurocharged.

That's the closest thing you are going to get to a warranty with a ecu tune.
