I won't go back to that stealership again. Buying a Mercedes should be a positive experience - this time around it was not.
I plan on doing the same thing with my review. My dealer never answers my emails, never answers phone calls and doesn't respond to voicemails either. I had better customer service when I bought my first honda. This time I am spending close to $150k and the dealer ignores me half the time. I would have went somewhere else but I had already placed my order 2 months ago and don't want to start all over again from scratch. This is really terrible customer service.

Does mbusa care??? Do they read these forum posts?? I'm being rhetorical here but if they really care about their product and client then they've got to change the behavior at the dealership level. Believe me when I say I suffered through this process....more anxiety that I ever needed.

(Ok.. I'll stop with the drama now..maybe I'll take a long drive with the massage turned on.)

If I get more calls like this, I will be calling mbusa to complain.
Sorry. Poor choice of words on my part. I didn't mean stick it to him without merit.

Thanks

Actually, MBUSA really cares for the surveys and uses them as a tool for/against the dealers. There is an additional discount the dealer receives based on survey results. They employ the same ratings process on surveys as American Express; if the marks are not tops, they're bad. I give them credit for that.

I have had several really poor experiences from our long-term dealer in Mpls. that actually made me look at Audi/BMW again and thus ended up with a BMW. Not a lot of choice in that town.
Along with some issues with Roadside Assistance, I was impressed that several people (MBUSA director level) called to follow-up.

Not sure it resulted in anything but at least they were reading the results. Very different at BMW; you can respond any way you like and nobody will follow-up...

Also I bet they make more profit on the cost of upgrades than the base cost of the car... I'm certain they make $7-10K profit per car to keep them in business. They likely make a lot more than that serving and repairing the cars...

I can believe $200-$300 commission, even on an S Class sale.

From what I've heard, they make the most money selling used cars, but that's from a guy who sold Dodge's, and claimed they made barely anything on new car sales (not talking about salesman profit, talking about dealer profit).

Thats correct on all new cars. After government enforced placing dealership MSRP stickers on new cars windows the profits dropped significantly.

Sales commission varies from dealer to dealer but averages min $200-300 per new car and $50 per used if sold with no profit. Salesman does`t get paid on a holdback.
Not true. The holdback is paid on all new cars except cars traded from another dealer.

I'm glad to hear its not for money. That makes it much better.

What do you cheat and lie for? Shelter, food, sex, power....?
From your sig, I suspect sex is right up there on your need list.
