OK...Order is placed!

Thanks for the help on interior leather options...I have the car on order as follows:
S550V in diamond white
nut brown/black exclusive napa leather
20" multi spoke wheel
rear seat package
warmth/comfort package
heads up display
magic body control
surround view camera
black dinamica headliner
night view assist plus
driver assist package
sunburst myrtle wood

Seriously considered the designo interior in red/beige but decided it was just too light.

Looking for a late Nov delivery if all goes well!

hot damn that's a nice build, wish the nut brown had a different secondary color
the nightview is great: illuminates several 'targets' at a time

now the wait begins

You have built a beautiful car. I wish that I had the heads up display.

Good luck. Great build.

Now time to enjoy the wait.

I am right with you. Also hoping my car comes in November.

Thanks...this will be the first time I have had the patience to order one. I've always been a "I'm just going to the dealership to look" kinda guy! So it's exciting to finally take the plunge and order exactly what I want. The wait however is already no fun

Excellent choice, just happens to be the same exact color combo I ordered! I ordered mine 7/24 (Built 8/13) and just today was informed it's made it aboard the ship. Hoping for a late sept delivery.

I know (we know) how you feel

I have configured all the cars I've gotten from MB it's the only way to go if you're going to spend the coin on a car such as these

I now agree...special order is the best way to go. I can't wait to see how the Magic Ride affects the ride quality. Could not test one that had it...hopefully it smooths out the run flats!

Congratulations! Outstanding options. The only time I ever picked a car off the lot was my very first car. That was way back in 1969 when I purchased a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. It had an aqua exterior color and a black interior. I sure wish I still had that car. Like a fool, I sold it in 1977 for $1100.

Ever since then, I have ALWAYS ordered exactly what I wanted.

From my understanding, the 15's don't come in runflats on the 20" design. Edit.....I see you don't have sport package. I wonder if that makes a difference.....

That could be the difference, Kratos. My 2015 w/ sport package & the 20 inch multi-spoke rims sailed across the Atlantic on runflats.

Interesting......I was at the dealership the other day and looked at the 15's with the sport package and all the tires were conventional. I asked the manager what happened to the runflats, and he told me that Mercedes switched the 20's to a conventional tire for 15. Now that I see from your post that some 15's are still sailing the Atlantic with runflats, I'm gonna go ask my dealer today if that must be a requested option type of thing... If so, I'm gonna make sure my order includes the conventionals.....

That is interesting. My car was shipped with Goodyear Eagle F1 runflats on the 20's. I tried to order with conventional tires from the factory, but that wasn't an option. I ordered my car in April of this year, and it was produced in July.

Ok, that's 2 people now. This means that what I saw wasn't what I saw, and my dealer shot up some smoke with it. I'm gonna find out...

The 2015 S550 18, 19, or 20 inch wheels come with either Goodyear or Pirelli Run Flats.

What is true, is the the S65 and S63 do not come with run flats in any size. The S600 19 inch comes with Run flats and the S600 20 inch comes with conventional tires.

Just had the tire conversation with my dealer this week. They seem to think that at least on the 550 all 18..19..20 inch wheels are shipping with run flats. However they also said they have no option of specing a tire in the ordering system...so MB could have made a change and the dealers would probably be the last to know. One interesting note...on the MBUSA web site today if you look at the specs on the 550 they list the standard 18 tire as an "all season extended mobility". But a week ago...it was listed as just "all season". I know that because I was pointing it out to my dealer while ordering my car.

Just to clarify--My '14 S550 4Matic Sport 19" Tires were Continental ContiPro Contact GX GSSR MO Extended (better know as Runflats). I have seen '15 S550 4Matics with the same Conti's. I also have noticed that some 4Matics have come with Michelin Extended Runflats or Pirelli Cinturato Extended Runflats.

My dealer just confirmed to me that the runflats are still the tire choice. No switch has been made. When I talked to him last, he must have confused the 600 with the 550.
He did make mention today to me what gofit said. They have switched the terminology to extended mobility tires. He said that MB explained to him that it was softer than traditional runflats and lasts longer. I don't know.....probably corporate BS on that one.
So as it stands, I have to decide if I want to drive away with the RF's or bring some tires with me on delivery day.....
Hmmm................................

Thanks for the clarification. I was thinking my tire size which are the 20's which only come in Goodyear or Pirelli run flats.

Here is the approved tire list.

On the list you posted, the Conti's are on the list. They are third and sixth from the bottom respectively for the rear and front tires. Those are the tires that were OEM on my car.

I believe you can pick the car earlier though
