Snow

Our S550 has been in the garage for what seems like forever due to snow and ice and I'm starting to have withdrawals. Anybody else have this problem?

It's not that it would not go I'm sure it would but living in country ( mountains) we use my truck or her Evoke durning ice and snow. For the best part of 3.5 weeks no bare ground. We have a trip scheduled very soon and it will come out then.

I don't blame you: just because these have all wheel drive, doesn't not mean they will brake better in snow and ice.........I did slide a couple of times, but I was testing the capabilities

You are correct one 4x4 truck down the road yesterday off the road and in the creek. By the way her Evoke is better in the snow than my F250

Well, don't feel bad guys. I picked up my car on 1/29 in rain and snow and it hasn't stopped snowing since. Must have four feet on the ground and got another 9 inches last night. I did have it out in some inclement weather just to test its reactions and to relieve my anxiety from staring at it in the garage. Even with 20" high performance tires the car tracks amazingly well in the slippery stuff. Still waiting for the weather to break so we can take a run down to Florida. Only have 250 miles so far. In the mean time the trusty 2005 C 4Matic takes us through anything mother nature throws at us. Can't wait for some good weather so we can really enjoy this amazing car.

We've had plenty of snow and brutal cold this season in central IA, but it has not in the least stopped me from driving my 2014 S550 all over the state and the country. This car is fabulous on snow (by far the best I've ever owned). I already have close to 17,000 miles on it and I bought it in early April, 2014. I don't give a hoot about depreciation or anything. I love driving this car.

I'm with you BT. I babied my '13 SL and turned it in with 11K miles. Makes no sense. I intend to drive the S 550 as much as possible. Because I have ready access to other cars I've delayed driving the new car during this really wild winter we have been having. But I too enjoy this car so much I look forward to putting on the miles. No more saving it for the next owner.

The 12 percent grade to get up to the house precludes driving this car until clear. The fact that it not 4matic doesn't help either. But we did make a two hour run up the valley this evening and enjoyed a great dinner at a nice Italian restrauant and just returned. Withdrawals over

Brand New 2015 S550 4Matic made it from upstate NY through snow and ice storms to Florida in 17 hours without a hitch!
