Minor annoyances - Park warning volume and sunroof tilt
PDC I can barely hear it and there's no pre warning like the older system, I get the barely noticeable beeps once lights are red
Sliding roof if cover is closed, I slide it back but it opens the cover and tilts up the roof
Anyone know if the dealer can tweak these?
Earlier and louder parking sensor warning and maybe the first movement only opens the cover with a second if I want to tilt the roof up

On the roof, my switch first retracts the cover. Then, if I hit the switch again, it retracts the roof. Same when closing it. I REALLY miss the simple tilt open feature of the previously standard moon roof and continue to absolutely hate this frigging Pano roof.

More Minor Annoyances
Speaking of annoyances on the W222, the automatic setting of the parking brake is very irritating. I also don't need the driver's power seat to return to an upright bench position every time I exit the vehicle. Obviously minor but nonetheless, annoying, but I do feel better after this venting!

Is the automatic parking brake a US thing or is it an operator issue? Mine does not engage the parking brake if I switch the gear to P before turning the engine off.

For the roof, there is a point which is roughly at the end of the sunroof button which you press. It tilts the button a bit and when you let go it would open the roof fully. I'll make a video some time tomorrow if you still need help.

The inside cover is closed (and the glass is closed)
I want to one-touch open the cover but leave the glass closed
As it happens now, I press the button - the cover opens but the rear of the glass tilts up as well so then I have to pull the button back down to close the glass

Maybe that's it, if I explained myself correctly

Tried that, it goes to one touch mode and tilts up the roof. If I hold it briefly, the cover just opens a little. I'll ask the dealer.

i had an opportunity to spend 10h or so with my new s550 a few days back on an extended road trip. here are my *minor* annoyances:
1/ my left arm when holding the steering wheel blocks the air flow from the far left a/c vent. (and boy is that hvac system noisy on full fan velocity!);
2/ my right forearm constatntly swipes the centre console mouse when i go to select the buttons located in front of said mouse inadvertently changing the comand screen (very 1st world problems, i know);
3/ the massage feature(s) doesn't (don't) remain on long enough before having to reactivate (very VERY 1st world problems, i know); and
4/ the steering assist thing is f-r-e-a-k-y cool! but i disengage it cos it doesn't like the way i hold the wheel and those blood-red hands appearing on the screen pop up way too often.
otherwise - LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing.

Don't experience the first two problems but I've got a RHD ;p
I'm guessing the massage feature turns off for the same reason as why the seat heaters turn off after a while. You can trick the system by sticking a can or something onto the wheel, despite how annoying it may seem. Although I have both hands on the wheel, I sometimes s
turn the wheel a little by mistake and that system has possibly saved me on multiple occasions.

yeah - i think the issue is i have a '15 and that has the "touchpad" mouse (where you can draw letters and numbers for input -- works well, btw) instead of the "keypad" mouse from earlier builds and that smooth surface of the touchpad waits for a command from the driver, and it is reading my forearm as i drag it across the surface as trying to direct it to do something. just something i need to work around. no big deal.

Hype, I don't understand what you mean here. How do you set the massage feature on the keypad? I thought that the only way to turn it on was by pressing the seat button to the left of the command knob and then searching for the type of massage you want on the screen. What have I been missing?

oh man! you're going to love this! yes, you can program your secondary keypad functions to easily access things like AC, on/off and the massage seats.......forget how to do it off the top, but it's in the manual somewhere......that's where I taught myself......it's a great feature

Hype, I struck out so far. I looked at the Owner's Manual and I could not find anything about controlling the massaging seats nor the AC by using the keypad. All it says is that this is the telephone keypad and that there is a favorites button on top of keypad.
