Nope. No one will know that. Highly unlikely that will happen unless demand for the S600 version is really high and people in snowy areas start making noise about wanting to buy one.

@lovinMercedes- wasn't only the S600 Maybach announced for the US? I know there's more flavors for other regions but I think we're only officially getting the V12... unless you know something that I don't.

It is coming at some point. I am planning on it for my next car, pretty sure it will be here by then.

First, this is in the European market, which doesn't necessarily mean we will get it. Second, it doesn't mention it being 4matic whereas on the other s550s on the same site if it comes in 4matic it will state it. I would buy it in a heartbeat if it did come but for now we can just hope. To support your claim that it will come there is an autoblog article speculating that it will come but for now there is no real evidence. Then again Mercedes can always surprise us.

Spoke to a MB rep at NY Auto Show. He said no S550 Maybach for US market. They are discussing a S600 4Matic Maybach when the mid cycle refresh happens in around 18 mos.

How was the MB setup at the auto show? See anything of note? I have friends going next week and it would be good to know what you think they should see (or of the the show in general).

I thought the show was pretty uninspiring. Not many interesting new cars. MB has the new GLE and G65. Also all the new engined cars (400 etc). Really nothing special. Would say same with Porsche, BMW, etc. I thought the best display was McLaren.

I was not impressed the S550 was base model versus last years fully loaded model and some of the cars I would have liked to explore such as the G wagon weren't unlocked, on the main level. As for the reps at the autoshow they aren't well briefed on what the product they are selling. I don't find them very knowledgeable as they don't necessarily work for Mercedes but instead at auto shows.
