Bluetooth audio issue
When I first paired my iPhone, everything worked as expected (audio, siri, phone functions) but the cars trackpad wasn't working correctly.
Turns out that there was a software update out to correct the issue. Done that but hadn't tried listening to any music via bluetooth until now.
When selecting bluetooth, the screen just shows "activating Bluetooth audio" (see pic) with some animation below the text.
This screen will stay on permanently and no audio will play.
I unlinked the phone (removed the settings from car and phone) and re-connected. Same thing.
Tried my wife's phone and two iPads. Same thing.
Hate to bring the car into service for this, does anyone know the cause or resolution?
Feels like a software update gone wrong to me...

Could it have something to do with the fact that the Wi-fi internet connection in the car is slower than snails?
This issue has been very annoying to me. When I try to play Apple Music from my iPhone for example, it constantly stops and restarts. It is unlistenable.

I'm pretty certain this is more an Apple issue than a MB issue. My android Note plays Bluetooth music perfectly. Left iPhone about 5 years ago and never looked back; primarily because of these Apple interface issues, and crappie AT&T coverage...

Have paired multiple iPads and iPhones to our 222 working fine but does go wonky when you keep multiple saved devices and keep switching which one connects to the car
Now that I just have one saved device, I don't get any stalls

Are you using your data plan instead of the car's Wi-Fi? If you are using a data plan from your provider, that's understandable. Mine also works just fine with a data plan. The problem arises when I'm trying to use the car's Wi-Fi. The Internet Radio also does not work well at all since it uses the car's Wi-Fi connection. It stinks.

After I read your post a few minutes ago, I got in my car and deleted my older iPhone that was also paired. My wife's iPhone is paired in my car as well and I don't want to delete that one. So now, instead of 3 devices, I have two devices paired: mine and my wife's iPhones. I hope this makes a big difference in the streaming. I will know more in the next few days.

Bluetooth on iPhones work great, so great in fact that my wife's and my Bluetooth connection interferes if we drive next to each other in different MB's
The cars need to be a couple hundred feet apart, otherwise I get random phone swaps.
That said, my iPhone was perfectly working before the trackpad software update and it is only the audio not activating ...

If we drive together, we never know which phone the car connects to. This is the same with the Escort live (radar detector).
This is a Bluetooth issue, no matter what device or OS is used.

I remember that AT&T sucked in the LA area. It's great here...

I've had the touchpad SW update and bluetooth audio streaming from my phone still works just fine (but I have a Windows phone).
I cannot see how the touchpad SW update would make any difference, would be like a door control module update would affect BT streaming. Either it is a phone issue (no update on the phone since it worked?) or the MB garage did something else in addition to updating the touchpad.

The trackpad update was the only thing they were supposed to do, I can only speculate.
I have the Service Manager check into the issue but really prefer not to bring the car into service.
