Organizers?

I just picked up a new S550. I really love it, but wish there was a little better and more storage in the front. The armrest is large enough, but I hate that its just one big hole (with an ipod holder and USB plugs). The door wells are even more awkward. Its really hard to reach the corners. Does anyone know a place that makes organizers for either of these? How about the trunk. What are people doing to section off the trunk. I love all the space and generally have a couple bags in there at all times (tennis, gym, etc). I'd like something that could keep things from rolling all over the place, but flatten out when I want to use the whole trunk. I searched the forum, but surprisingly, I didn't find any threads about this.

Can't help you with the arm rests. But for the trunk, I bought the VW Cargo Blocks and placed a box that I throw my stuff into. I just ordered it from the VW dealer near my house.

I'll take a pic of it when I get home, but it looks something like this:

Cargo blocks

Those are pretty cool. Do they cause fraying of the carpet in the trunk though?

Yes the carpet does fray a bit when you lift to reposition it, but not anything that I would be concerned about if you do it once in a while. With my setup, I leave it as is. My S550 isn't my daily driver, so I'm not worried about it taking up that much trunk space.

What'd you mean there's not enough space in the armrest? You can only see it partially but it's definitely large enough for about 2-3 drinks as well as my phone, usb stick and a few other items. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7OZhZqQYzY

I use a couple of the benz collapsible boxes, they work great, don't slide, but may cause fraying as you mentioned...over time...however, that will be the next owner's concern

my CLS has a small hook that extends from the top of the trunk.....odd the S class does not

I have found this item of great use. It is 2inches by 2inches by 36inches long. Covered in thick vinyl with industrial Velcro on the bottom. You can move it where you wish and does not seem to ruff up the carpet.

If you have the rear climate control option that compartment all but disappears. It's the smaller and only about 2 inches deep, making it useless for storage (other than your phone and a pack of gum )

I'm not sure if that was directed at me or not. I said in my original post that the armrest space was large enough. Its just that it would be more useful to me if the space were divided so things could be organized better. I hate all my things just rolling around in there and having to rummage to find something at the bottom.

Oh, sorry, I thought you said that there needed to be more storage there. Word of advice to all S Class owners if you haven't noticed already, don't keep small items such as change in the compartment at the front of the middle of the car. That is the only flaw in my opinion of the S Class. All change falls through the "door".

Which one

The smaller drawer in the dash under the vents or the one with the sliding wooden door with two cup holders inside
