Question Driver Side AC Vent Airflow

Is it normal for the driverside ac vent to have significantly stronger airflow/output than the passenger side with all controls set to same settings? I was told this is also the only ac vent that has the ionization.

TIA

It's a cross post which is perfectly acceptable especially if the question relates to shared systems/components of other models.

Don't have an answer to your question... but... is there any way to know for sure that the air ionization system is even working? I know how to turn it on/off, but how can you test it? Wouldn't that be a hoot for snake oil in the dash...

Normally you can smell the ozone produced by ionizers but most likely MB has it set to produce a very low amount. I guess one way would be if you have an odor in the cabin eg take out food etc turn on the system and see if after several minutes the odor is gone.
