Yes, that was an E Class.
Good news is that it sounds like the 2018 S Class being released in summer of 2017 will have improved Distronic features beyond the 2017 E Class which is sorely lacking even vs. Volvo S90. I hope they push even more tech features into the refreshed S.

Swell -
Would have been impressive a few years ago. Not sure how/why Mercedes got so far behind on their pinnacle vehicle.

Because their mindset is still let's come up with some technology, let's then spread it over a 10 year release cycle and then slowly release what was developed over 10 years.

Until Mercedes designs their DrivePilot technology so that it can be improved and updated with over the air software updates the system will be outdated the day it is released.

Mercedes has one of the best sensor arrays in the automotive industry but it is hampered by poor software.

If the estimates from the automotive press are accurate, the 2018 S Class will arrive in US showrooms mid summer - that means we should be learning much more very soon. Anyone have any updated info?
