The S63 and S65 20" comes with 255/40X20 front, and 285 /35 rears similarly Brabus list those as the tyre sizes for 20" wheels. I've seen a lot of comments about people ditchng the runflats but my question is: has anyone running 20s ditched their runflat 245/40s & 277/35s and replaced them with regular 255/40s & 285/35s? If so, how is the ride and are there any implications on the sensors and the vehicle electronics as I vaguely recall reading a comment years ago somewhere on the e-class forum about that.
If it's simply a matter of a 1% variation on MPG and speedo readings due to rolling distance, i would have thought that a small price to pay and the way to go because the 255s and 285rears certainly fill up the arches better ala S63/65, should be more comfortable and less prone to pot hole accidents

I have an S65 with the stock 255 & 285 tires. The ride is superb. There are no sensor issues with switching to the wider tires. Remember the AMG's with standard tires come with a can of inflator and sealant. I am not sure it would ever be very useful.
