Is there a way to defeat Eco start/stop??

Does anyone know a way to permanently disable the eco start/stop feature? I find it very annoying constantly starting and stopping while driving in the city. I know in sport mode it doesn't do the start/stop thing but changes other parameters I would rather not. Besides, I don't want to have to do something every time I start the car to defeat this thing.

There's a button on the right side of the center console; its marked with an "A" with a circle around it. This shuts off the stop/start feature. You still have to shut it off every time you start the car, however. But at least you don't have to run around with it in sport mode the whole time.

I see the button you are talking about... Thanks buddy. I didn't use the car much last year as I got it mid summer and being my first Benz, there's a LOT to figure out. I also put it away for the winter early as I needed my SUV for other reasons so I have not even looked inside it for almost 4 months. I do remember however, how annoying that stupid Eco start/stop feature is. Love the car, but hate the Eco crap if I don't want to use it, and I don't. Searching around I can't find anyway to easily disable it permanently as I would like.. so far. Cheers!

Permanently you'd have to wire a jumper behind the dash

I always put the car is sport mode anyway, eliminating the really slow acceleration on E......which also turns the eco thing off
