It's funny to me that Bersa's are pretty well regarded, while Hi-Points are denigrated. I think it's mostly aesthetic, my wife said the Hi-Point was "ugly", and her Bersa Thunder .380 is "sexy". To me as long as it fulfills rules #1 (Goes BOOM) and #2 (throws lead in the right direction), it's GTG.

I don't know if I'd put the Hi Point in the same class as say a Bersa Thunder 380 or a Ruger 380. The Hi-Point is a big heavy gun for being a .380. It's not a real easy carry gun.
But I like the look of the Hi-Point better, just because it looks cleaner to me. I ended up smoothing flush the ribs on the silver parts, just to clean it's look up a little.
I bought it because it was on a big pre Christmas sale, and for a first pistol I couldn't go wrong for the price.

That was actually very chilling to me. Any citizen's worse nightmare.

Hogger, I don't disagree about the carrying aspect, but I just wanted my wife to have a firearm to go to the range with me. I guess she wanted to look like James Bond or something. The heavier weight of the Hi-Point definitely helps with recoil, and was less expensive. As cheap as my wife is, I was surprised that she wanted the Bersa.

LOL. So true, like I always tell my wife, she's going with "fashion over function". It could be 35 degrees out, and she's in a little skirt. Forget the cold weather, as long as she looks cute.

I don't get it sometimes.

That video looks like it could tie right in with 1984.

Went to the range today and played with my MP15 and ended up ordering a FN Five Seven and FNS2000...considered the PS90 but liked the idea of the FNS2000 being able to shoot more powerful ammunition and forward ejection is a nice feature.

I know...lol...what ammo are using on the Five Seven...I picked up some 40gr Vmax blue tips.

I'm pretty sure I'm using those - I went online to buy a ton of it (as it's a specialty ammo, I wasn't finding good prices except for bulk purchases), so I'll be set for a few months (at least). The website is five seven ammo . com (just take the spaces out).

Thanks...just bought 1000 rounds more of the blue tip and 500 rounds of the hollow point.

A good rule of thumb is buy a safe twice as big as you think you'll need.
I bought a safe a bit bigger than yours and I filled it up and bought another safe that was much bigger and I wish I had bought a bigger one!
If you can find a local safe manufacturer who will do trade ins, that would be the best. Mine was from a local safe company made with 1/4" plate. He took my first safe as a trade in. I got a good deal on delivery and installation, too!
