722.6 Blue top shift solenoids longevity

Hey, I have found a few write ups on the installation of the blue shift solenoids. One came from a Jeep forum but obviously had the same trans.

From my understanding this makes the transmission bang into gears so there's less slipping in between.

Can someone speak on the longevity and durability of this modification? I don't want to shorten the life of my transmission. My car has 75,000 miles on it.

Also, for those who have installed it, how much more responsive does this make the manual gear selection? I know in automatic mode some users have said it's significantly faster shifting.

Should I use a special fluid when putting the pan back on? Or just a new OEM filter and OEM trans fluid from Mercedes dealership?

The solenoids are OEM, so there wont be longevity problems with those. About the transmission, as there are faster shifts, the friction plates are less used. Ive been thinking of this mod to, but im still courious if someone have done it to a pre 2001 gear box.

Everyone complains about de "hard" shiftdowns.

The mb 236.15 or .14 fluid will be ok, its the oem one.
