What program are you using to view them? It most likely has an option to compress or resize.

I do not have any special program to view them... Can you recommend a good one... freeware would be great...

My guess is that you are using some form of Windows operating system. There is a simple to use JPEG viewer/manipulator built in to the OS but you can try somehting more complicated like http://www.irfanview.com
