Did you lower your R and what spring did you use?

I used H&R springs in the front and made some custom Links in the rears for the airmatics. Once you lower these R's, they handle like thay are on rails. I was heading out to SoCal in my R from Denver about a month ago and I was following this Audi A6 through the mountain passes at about 105mph and there was little to no body roll at all. It felt as though I could go even faster. A few times the Audi could not hang onto the curves and had to slow down. As I was following I had to slow down also, but I could have easily passed him up. You really need to exprience these cars around the twisties once you get them lowered.

Those OZ are huge and nice on R! I agree with the H&R, it improve the handling alot. You don't feel like driving a car can fit 7 people!

Nice mods. Its amazing the wheels, and lowering make ANY vehicle look better.
The Brabus aero bits really bring it all together though.

Just put on some 22s
These are Ace Executives with a offset et35 front and back. 22x9 up front with 22x10.5 rear 265/35/22 on the front and 295/30/22 on the rear. Brabus offers the same tire combination on there website and after inquiring about this I was told and looked up on pirellis website that there are 4 more (711 vs 707) rotations per mile on the back tires which is almost nothing and this is further reduced by a slightly higher rear tire pressure. I have brabus lowering springs and links which will make it not look so lifted but everyone in Atlanta seems to want over $500 to lower this car which is basically like doing front springs and a 15 minute job in the rear,is it really that hard?

Here is our 2006 R500. Purchased it in August 2008. I have added the wireless rear backup camera, 19" AMG wheels w/Michelin Lattitudes, chrome trim around front/rear lights, AMG pedal covers, brown floor mats, IU plate, Sheepskin inserts, cup holder in rear of the front console, nets for the cargo area, and soon a hitch for a cargo carrier.

gsirota - Love the R63. But the Transporter/Sprinter makes it look tiny.
