Just wanted to share my excitement for the arrival of My KIDHAULER R in arctic white w/ amg pkg.

in 3 weeks. I love this car so much that I'm stressing on trading in the old one

Congrats. Post photos when it arrives. BTW, is MB giving discounts on it. Were you able to haggle with them on the price?

Congrats!

I believe that the new gas engine has more HP. I'd be interested in how it feels. MB is still listing the same acceleration on their web site, but that can't be right.

was havin' a few when i posted.....will give an update once delivered. she's supposed to come in about 3 weeks as per dealership and i was able to haggle below invoice for the car. they were tryin to point out MSRP but i just said i'm not really in the market for a new car. after numerous back and forth with the general manager I ended up getting the deal I wanted

Congratulations OP

I saw one of these for the first time this morning, it is very nice in white. It drew my attention because of the exhaust tips, then I noticed the taillights. Probably was an '11 model, but my first time seeing the updates and I must say it looks impressive.

Can you please write up the complete experience of how you purchase the New R-class from beginning to the end. And also when you receiving it how does it drive and handle itself?

Just an update...... the R is supposed to arrive in 2 days and I will be picking it up some time next week. So far I've gotten the lease payments down to $397.00 /mo with my 08 as trade-in and a negotiable $28k buy out at the end of the lease. MSRP for the car was $62k.....IIRC my calculations show that i bought the '12 car for $56K - lease payments => $40.5k hopefully i can negotiate more i come in to finalize the deal.

Congrats! I am getting one next week, me second tour of duty with the R. Citrine Brown with beige intoerior (wife's car). I tried to get her go for the while but she wouldn't go for it...I think white is a great colour for it.

Nice R!! Love it in white. For some reason, I think the R looks best in the lighter colors (white, palladium, iridium, etc) because it shows off its lines better and to contrast the pano roof. It also looks very good next to the W164, which also looks nice but dated next to the R.
