Also, any fleet discount can't be applied in conjunction.

But the club is not all about the new car discount, there is definitely some other awesome perks. I'd really like to try out the DIY days my local chapter sponsors... will be looking into this next

Congratulations on your R! I wish you many happy miles.

So, learning from the past (300SL, 190SL, Edsel, TR3, etc), I'm going to hang on to my R and CLK because they will become collector's items! Gonna need a bigger garage, though.

Our MBCA Section is entertaining. Nice group of folks. Very much like our Harley Owners Group chapter, just with MBZ instead of Hogs. Oh, and we dress a little differently for the two clubs events.

Run don't walk

I've owned british sports cars that were more reliable than this car. Worst car by far I've ever owned!!!!!

In the 30,000, that's right, 30,000 miles I've owned the car:

Rear ball joint $700
conductor plate $1800
Failed air bag $1100 (doing it myself because I'm fed up $313)
Two belts $500
Waiting for the balance shaft, hopefully that will only be $4500.

POS!!!

I'll do you one better. Have owned our pre owned 2008 r350 and within one month I have the beginnings of what sounds like a bad drivers rear ball joint. It's only got 33 k miles and already a bad ball joint. WTF!

Which of the rear ball joints went bad on yours? I actually just did a DIY on my w211 so may as well keep the auto zone ball joint tool a few more days and work on my r350. Ugh makes me wonder if benzes are worth the effort!

Is there even a DIY on ball joints for this ride?

Any news on the rear ball joint replacement? I'm looking to replace our soon.

Our right rear started squeaking right after I replaced the rear air springs. Doesn't bother me, but it's killing my wife (and she's the one that can't hear any squeaks or rattles).
