Fog Lights shattered? Happen to you?

Have had my R320 since mid december and have had my drivers fog light shattered twice by what I am pretty sure is road debris, probably small stones due to salt/stones spread on roads here in the winter.

Any one have that happen?
Anyone know of some screen protectors?

These cost $175 a pop to replace!

Thanks

They are very low to the ground, it happens alot on most large vehicles with the lights close to the ground. Snow can shatter the lenses too from heat changes also.
You can protect them with laminx, it works well but only last a couple of years at the most (easily replaced) so buy a sheet and cut to fit, it burns from the intense heat over time.
Are your bulbs off center in the fog light housing? If so not many replacement options, there are lots of fog lights for cheap on ebay but for the pre amg bumper with centered bulbs (not corning lights).
The last alternative is just to install non fog light bumper grills and forget about them...

well I think its just my bad luck. I never use fog lights so its not hot/cold shattering. I will take a look see at Princess Auto friday in ottawa to see what kind of surplus plastic lens they may have. there is enough clearance between the chrome trim and the lamp that something can fit.
