GLK350 rims
Hi,
I'm looking at getting a set of rims for the winter and really like the look of a set on a 2010 GLK350 and was wondering if they fit on a 2009 R320?
All the tire sites I check out show that the GL and ML fit and some even list the GLK but I just don't want to make a expensive mistake if the listings are just throwing in the GLK to the rest.
PS new guy on the website but not too new to the MB world.
Thanks for any input!

Chances are no. The R requires a huge offset, the factory 17" is 56mm, the 18" 67mm. Not sure which size your looking at but most GLK wheels are around 40mm offset. Even certain ML and GL wheels will not work with the R, I mean YES they fit but they stick out the sides and look ridiculous and throw debris all over the sides. Not very Mercedes like.
The only 17" I found that actually fit properly was the factory 17" wheel on the R class and the Sport Edition F10 with 55mm offset (tirerack sold them but discountinued now). Nothing else would stay inside the wheel wells.
18" there are more options, some aftermarket offer 50mm more common and it is reasonably inside the wheel wells.
19-20" again more options, but not really great for snow.
I spent MANY months researching this, ended up with factory 17" wheels. I really wanted to put narrow tires which meant small as possible (235/65/17)
Use the tire calculator found on this site, it is a great aid. It will tell you how much the wheel will stick out, anything more then 15mm over your stock wheel combo will not be inside the wheel well anymore.

Find out the offsets of your current wheels and potential new wheels at alloywheelsdirect.net
Then plug it into this calculator to determine how far outside and inside the wheels will differentiate from your current setup: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Regard post #3 to check offsets first. .5 inch in mm is 12.7mm. So realistically it probably won't stick out too much but you'd have to be the judge of that.
