S-Class Wheels on an R-Class

Found a set of MB 20" factory wheels I really want that fit S-Class. The front is the same width and offset as my AMG 19" R-Class wheels. The rear 20" wheels are an inch wider and a slight difference in offset.

Has any anyone installed S-Class wheels on an R-Class? Do the rear wheels give it a more aggressive look or does the offset cause the wheels to stick out?

Generally anything not designed for the R class sticks out, the R has extreme offset, factory wheels run 67mm for 18". I had 35mm offset in 22X10", they stick out a small amount. You need to know the offset, if its under 45mm it will not be flush with the body. Staggered wheels are not really necessary on our beasts, best to try it out without a tire mounted and see, there is plenty of clearance for wheels on our beasts just a matter of taste with offsets.

Thank you. Great tip. I was also told in a PM that on cars with 4-matic (most U.S. R's) its recommended to have all four wheels and tires exactly the same diameter. It's very difficult to insure wider tires on the rear are exactly the same diameter as the narrower fronts.

I'm going to contact the supplier to see if he'll sell four fronts.
