R500 front right airmatic - Arnott
Hi all,
FYI, my 2006 R500 w/ 105k miles R500 had sagging front right, and I looked at my record to see that during my CPO warranty period in 2009, an OEM replacement was done at 70k miles. Surprisingly, despite both REAR left and right airmatics going out(and covered by warranty), my FRONT left is still the original.
Since there's no more warranty and dealer wanted close to $2k for replacement, I looked into Arnott and having indep install it. One indep wanted $1k for remanufactured OEM(not sure if Arnott), but I ended up ordering it from Marvin at Arnott who gave me a MBWORLD discount.
Bottom line, less than $500 for Arnott(send back core), plus $200 for labor, and so far so good for $700 complete
Good luck to anyone who's asking about Arnott/airmatic (waaay less hassle than ABC).
