There have been two up in southern Ontario lately, a black one for $25k, and a light coloured one (desert silver or something) at a used car dealer for $34k if I remember right, both have been on the market for a long time now. Just remember if you are really interested the engine costs MORE then a new vehicle, around $75000 replacement cost!

Yeah... I want one but don't need one! From a cost point of view the black one would have made sense as the extra $ vs mine was made up for by the lower mileage, and I don't pay for gas because I use it for business.
I am surprised that there is no aftermarket AMG engine rebuilding somewhere on this continent. I tried to google but found nothing.

There's no AMG rebuilding, or not very well known, because it's cheaper to just buy a used M156 engine and do a swap if you run into a catastrophic failure. Used engine can be had for $7,500-13,000.
