2012 R350 0-60
For pure curiosity (yes I am aware I drive a 7-seater mini-van like thing), does anyone know what is the 0-60 time of the MY2012 R350 with the V-6 gasoline motor?
MY2011 and earlier V-6 gasoline-powered models have a widely cited 8.0 sec 0-60 time and appears to be backed by MB tests/literature. However, I can't seem to find any official (MB tested or else) figures for the MY2012 R350 with the updated V-6 outputting 300 horses.
If you know, can you kindly
1) Post what the 0-60 time is and
2) Cite source (if known/available)
Thanks!

Great find AsianR! 8.0 sec feels a bit sandbagged though, but on the other hand it is a 2.5 ton car. Guess no one bothered to instrument test this unbeloved car in its last year.
Also, wonder if the document is some kind of an internal draft, notice that the combined mileage of 15 for the gasoline model is obviously off.
And maybe MB made a change mid-MY? This document says solid rear disc, but my car clearly has vented discs in the rear.

Don't know how auto.yahoo.com derived these numbers but seem consistent w/ 2012 performance enhancement to 302 HP:
0-60 =7.08, 1/4 mile =15.24

0-60 =7.08, 1/4 mile =15.24

I seem to recall seeing 7 second times posted somewhere when I was shopping/researching around that time, with the diesel half a second slower, might be in the brochure but not sure where I would have it now.
Different packages came with different brakes, it would make sense if the sport package offered the vented rotors, but not sure. For sure any R class could have either solid or vented rear discs whenever looking up replacement parts, there is no solid answer for that one other then looking at the car or researching the VIN/build.
