Mercedes C240
R350 ESP

Hi all

I'm new around here, and I hope it won't be rude of me to just start asking questions! I run a small independent outfit in Lagos, Nigeria, and sometimes we have issues that have us scratching our heads. I hope I can get some help with this...

I have a friend who's Mercedes R Class randomly deploys its ESP while driving on the highway at about 60 mph. At this point, the vehicle will not accelerate without being pushed really hard, and even then, never over 70mph.

There are no codes in the ESP module, and I am unable to see which wheel is sensing slippage, because with my autel plugged in and logged in to the ESP computer, ESP controls are totally deactivated, though I can read wheel speeds. Here there is a small discrepancy of about 1 mph between some of the wheels, but never more than that.

Wheel sensors were changed last year. Original MB equipment was installed. Does anyone know how I can go about starting to diagnose this problem for them?
