transmission torque converter drain plug?

I have a 2007 R350 4matic with the 722.9. I remember when last time I serviced the trans I tried to find the drain plug of the torque converter but couldn't find it...Rotated the engine about 10 revs just can't find it...Is it normal to have no drain plug on those 722.9s?

Mine is in the shop at this very moment. I was just told that they do have a drain plug but to get at it the converter must be removed. They are doing the 80k Transmission service and draining the fluid is NOT part of the standard service. I asked them to pull it and it's gonna cost $140 extra to do.

Wish there was a way to extend the life of the fluid and internal filter so we dont have to do this stuff every 40k miles.
