R320 oli leak
Cannot find the source of the leak. it has saturated the insulation cover on the oil pan. it drips which in turnovers everything behind the oil pan with oil which then drips onto the cover and onto the concrete drive. which is almost impossible to remove from the concrete. have unbolted the insulation enough to check the front and side of the pan. no leaks there. oil plug is tight and sensor does not leak. cannot see any source anywhere on the block and plumbing for the cooler. did find the connection for the breather (in front of turbo) to be loose. have fastened it in place using plastic ties.

You can search here or YouTube for 'oil cooler leak OM642", maybe this is source of leaking.

May have found the source of the oil leak. The hose that attaches to the air intake directly in front of the turbo was most of the way out of it's connector. plugged it back in but it was very loose. short term fix was plastic ties from a sensor housing at the turbo connection to the air intake pipe for the turbo. will wait a week to see if it still drips oil onto the driveway. spent a couple of hours using my flex grabber with pieces of soft sponge in the jaws pushing it into every crack and cranny in the area between the intake manifolds. it came out dirty and with a little old oil on it but no new oil. have not looked at the bell housing yet toes if there is oil on it, but since my problem is at the front of the engine i doubt there being oil there. if it keeps dripping it will go to the shop. don't feel comfortable doing the work to replace the cooler seals.
