60k Miles, Service B question

Have a R350 Bluetec
year: 2009
Miles: 60K
Warranty: outta warranty
Dealer is charging me 755+ tax to do a service B
What is the usual price for service B,
What is covered under service B? or is there a link that tells me what needs to be done at 60k?
Can I take it to a non dealer other than Merc?

I'm located at 77433, any recommended dealer near this place other than Merc

download your maintenance guide here:
https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servi...enance_manuals

aside from a general inspection such as drive belt, hoses, brake lines, adblue, coolant level etc, the only required maintenance at 60K miles is oil and filter, fuel filter, brake fluid change (every 2 years anyway on all cars), replace cabin/combination air filter.

The air filter should have been changed at 40K miles. It is hard work for DIY so make sure it was done.
I can change oil and oil filter in 15 minutes. oil filter under $15, 9 liters oil under $80
Fuel filter in 30 minutes. Cost is under $30
Cabin filter takes about 30 minutes by removing the glove box. also under $50
To change the diesel air filters is a ***** (female dog) for first time. But a MB mechanic that does this often for all V6 Diesels should do it in under 60 minutes easy.

Brake fluid flush is also maybe one hour.. Should be done when you have to lift car and rotate tires. all other stuff can be done in ground.

any garage can do this. No special tools needed other than click clips pliers for fuel filter found on most german cars.

Agreed, any competent mechanic can do the work. Have the mechanic look for leaky injector seals at the same time by revving the engine with the engine cover off. It should be pretty obvious. It's better to take care of this early then to try and clean all the "black death" that results from leaking for a long time.
