My New R63 - Barolo Red
Well - not much mystery regarding this car that I bought last week. The only Barolo Red R63 that exists. I was looking for an extra vehicle with a third row and the R63 seemed to fit the bill as most everything on the market is pretty boring. It was an easy transaction and it was delivered fine after a 1500 mile transport to my home.
My kids love it and it is a great car. Although it seems much slower than my S63 and as I now drive a Panamera Turbo daily I am spoiled by the Panamera's acceleration - 0-60 in 3.3s. I also forgot how horrible the mileage on my 63 was but I was quickly reminded.
The R is nearly flawless - the interior has not a mark or sign of wear and there are just minor wear blemishes on the nose from normal driving - overall it will be a fun extra car to drive in the winter. I have no real mods planned but here are a few pics - excuse the dusty cars.

Looking good! Glad it arrived home safely.
Just not a big fan of those LEDs on the front as it doesn't really flow.

If you want a full blown LED intergration take a look at the R Grand Edition which had OEM LEDs on the AMG bumper:

I can dig up all the necessary part numbers for that. The only trick is to do the Star coding to get everything to talk to each other.
How did you wire yours though? I'm having problems with power to my angel eyes that surround my fogs.
BTW it's not the only Barolo Red R63. I've seen photos of one on this forum with a tan interior.

That is a great addition to your family!! I love the color and while there may be one other R63 in Barolo Red somewhere in the US, you car is as rare as they come. Congrats!
It is probably not too surprising that the R63 feels slower than your old S63, given it probably has 400 extra lbs (and probably 800lbs or so on your Panamera). That said, I think it is the coolest car of that trio. I would love to have owned one.
Kind regards

Well I added some AMG lighted door sills and mats from the Euro spec AMG catalog and ordered all the parts from my dealership - they were surprised the European part numbers were able to be ordered in their system. My license plate came in too.
The catalog is online but I can email it anyone who wishes - I tried to attach it too in this post.

Just got back from vacation with my family today - the Super Van as my kids call it is doing well and goes like a mountain goat in the snow with snow tires.
I have done no mods as any investment in a 5 year old car out of warranty is a low return if any but it is still fun to lurk here. Getting ready to swap back to the Panamera Turbo until next fall.
Here is a fun pic from today

I own a Capri Blue with Gray interior R63. Your data is for world net production. I was told by the AMG factory tour guide Alexander Weber the there was just over 100 build total and around 50 in the USA.
Thanks for the chart very interesting.

I don't know where the chart came from , but it does say USA , leading me to believe these are our numbers.
How many miles on your capri blue , how long have you had it...

I have an Iridium Silver Metallic R63 with black interior (apparently the 2nd most common version according to the chart). When I visited the AMG factory in Affalterbach this past November, the person who showed us around wouldn't give me a number for total production. He said that they only give out specific numbers on limited editions, and while the R63 was a limited edition, that was not intentional. But somebody at Mercedes must know the exact number made. It would be nice if we could get an official number. Even if the chart above is for world-wide sales, it would not be the total R63 production. The chart is marked R63 L AMG. "L" stands for the long version. In the U.S. only the long version was sold, but in Europe, a short version was also offered and I have seen a few of them up for sale, so those would have to be added to get a total production. I must say, I really like the red.
Here are a couple of photos of my R63:
