500 hard to start

My 1995 s500 coupe is difficult to start. It seems to run perfect after a couple of seconds with good mileage and performance. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be the problem?

When was the last time the car was serviced? Could be anything from a weak battery to a clogged fuel filter.

it turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator. Thank you.
