DIY repair for drivers side seat elevator handle

My drivers side seat elevation handle was broken as I suspect are many, many others. Trying to get another proved impossible, and they are no longer available from Germany.
So here is my repair:
1. Find yourself a handbrake handle
2. Remove the seat and remove the elevator lever
3. Grind the handle end so it will fit into your handbrake handle
4. Use the same set screw and some spacer washers to attach the handle to the lever
5. Reassemble.
Works great for me and keeps it somewhat original.
Cheers.
Dave.
