300SE bad missfire, hesitation only when warm.

Have a 1989 300SE that has a BAD missfire and hesitation once its warmed up. Cold the car runs great! If you drive for more than 5 minutes you can feel the slightest missfire when idleing. Then its to the point where once you start to accelorate from a stop its as if 4 or 5 cylinders are missfiring. As you accelorate the car missfires then if you give it more gas it will eventually hesitate so bad it will stall...I hope this isnt a fuel pump or EHA....please elaborate!

recent repairs have been spark plugs, just changed plug wires because in the dark saw them arcing, the arcing has stopped but no change in the running of the car.

Would a coil cause this issue? Any suggestions guys? How to test?
