DRIVER SIDE WINDOW GLASS OUT OF TRACK DOES NOT CLOSE

I have a 91-300SE, the driver window glass does not go up, the glass came out of the track which prevents the window from going up and down, the switch still works and the motor appears to be working fine, I took off the panel to inspect the problem and noticed that the glass was not in the track correctly, I am only able to push the window up manually, then I can open the window with the switch but the glass falls out of the track again into a crooked sideways position.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Sounds like either the regulator or the slides.
The regulator is the part with the meshing teethed gears, used to lower and raise the window.
The slides are located on the bottom of the glass and fit into a slide, which allows the side to side allowance of the window.
Both would result in the scenario, as you have descibed it.

HI BENZITCH

Thanks very much for your suggestions, I really do appreciate your advise, I will inspect the area and try to identify if the regulator or the slides is defective

I hope this photo will help anyone who has any issues with their window regulator. The reason my window was not working, I discovered that one of the arms was broken, as you know this part cost about $300 from the dealer, so I had it welded and now it works fine
