Help 560 sputtering

Motor is in good shape mechanically with new timing chain 1k miles on chainm. Car starts, idles nice, acts normal for a minute then starts sputtering with throttle. Sputtering gets worse quick and soon stalls. Let it sit for a few minutes: it starts and idles fine, will start out in gear well for a few seconds, do one shift, then the sputtering, lose all power, and stall. Compression is good Spark is good. How do I trouble shoot to the failure?

Could be the EZL or coil. Try getting a spare EZL from a PYP yard and see if it goes away. A new coil is relatively cheep. Also check your EHA to see if it is weeping (fuel dripping from bleed holes). If so it's shot.

Great news: did my homework, knew my spark and compression were in good order from a bad coil issue 6 months ago. Read the codes and none, but while going back and forth between the car and my tool box, I heard the fuel pump groweling lower and louder than normal. Looking under the car I saw the power lead just sitting on the screw with no nut and little sparks flashing from the vibration of the idle. Problem solved.
