Dash Warning Light '87 300SDL
Yellow light with waves in it ~ looks like low coolant but it's full , we flushed & re filled the cooling system a month ago , it runs fine , not hot , what's the likely cause ? .
(is this the low coolant lamp ?) .
TIA ,

It sounds like it is your low coolant warning light. If it is on and your coolant level is correct it is probably a faulty sensor. I had a 1991 Lexus LS400 where the low coolant light stayed on all of the time, but it was full of coolant and the dealer said it was a bad sensor.
Since I knew it was full, I didn't bother with it. I just kept a check on the level and temperature gauge and all was fine for years. Most cars didn't have a warning light for this anyway and it just something you really need to keep a check on anyway rather than depending on a warning lamp.

Low Coolant Lamp
Thanx ! .
I just made sure everything was topped up and off we went for two weeks and over 4,000 miles , everything was jake , no over heating , the lamp went out and stayed out .
We swapped out the incandescent rear lamps for LED ones , the taillights and turn signals etc. are all *much* brighter now but the lamp failure lamp on the dash came on due to the reduced resistance of LED's .
