I have a 1985 mercedese 300sd. I was digging into a wiring diagram and saw that the cruise control motor had some kind of riostat inside there with a solenoid and the motor. 1 i was wondering how this all works, if the computer just varies the voltage to it. Or if it moves the motor a little bit then shuts it off or something. 2 i was wondering how I could build some sort of circuit bord and tie it into the motor to give it an electrical high idle switch in the winter. If anyone has rigged one up or knows how the module works more in depth let me know please.
