Key lost, remove igintion tumbler ?

Key lost, remove igintion tumbler ?
I have a 300SEL , I lost the key and I want to remove the ignition tumbler. I understand I need to get it into position 1 before I can remove the cylinder. The tension wrench's I have wont fit because the cylinder is sunk into the dashboard. How can I get the tumbler to turn ? Will something like the lichi HU39 fit? Thank you
(I tried searching on the subject , most of the posts I found people had the key , or the key was broken off.)

Key from VIN ...
Same happened to me when I lived in Vegas; went to see my Bud @ the dealership (wholesale parts dept), gave title & registration, ID ... he sent that info to Daimler in Texas, they sent me a FACTORY duplicate key. Took about a week ...
