420SEL trans fluid from square hole driv side
Hello Everybody,
Tried to look this up everywhere - about half a quart so far on ground leaking directly from square hole on block just in front of where it mates to bell housing.
What is this hole - it looks like an access point, and anyone else have idea how to fix a tranmission fluid leak like this? Automatic, typical '87 420 engine. Left side of photo is towards front, this is driver's side view.
Thank You!!

If it's definitely coming OUT of that hole, the source has to be from the trans front seal or pump housing (busted) O-Ring ... you'll have to drop the trans to inspect & confirm. Be absolutely SURE that trans fluid cooler lines aren't the culprit 1st ...
