W126 air coditioning
As a resident of the Texas Gulf Coast I would like to know from other W126 owners in this part of the world id the air conditioning in the W126 is adequate for our hot and humid climate. All European cars (from the 1980s) that I have had experience with have failed miserably in this department. Looking forward to your comments.

The '67 and '76 are inop at the moment so not good for comparison purposes. I do have an '85 BMW 7 series and an '86 Volvo 760 and they are both barely adequate in the summer heat. I don't drive them during the hot weather.

I live in NC where it's really hot and humid. The R12 in the wife's 350SDL will cool well enough to hang meat inside of the car! No issues with mine.

Post 1985 w126s have a better AC condenser and cool very well. Diesels also got a smaller water pump pulley late '84 spinning the fan and pump faster.
